The School Liaison and Family Support Service (SL&FSS) from Centacare is a team of professional counsellors/social workers who work within our primary and secondary schools across the Diocese.

School and Family Liaison Workers are allocated to each region of the Diocese. The SL&FSS program is funded by the Catholic Schools Office as part of our commitment to assist schools to be communities of care.

Catering for students' emotional well being positively contributes to their overall development. Counselling is conducted in a safe and nurturing environment. The best interests of the child are upheld at all times.

Keeping Kids in Mind (evening course) starting March 6th & runs for 5 sessions over 5 weeks
Keeping Kids in Mind (KKIM) is a short course for separated parents. The course aims to help separated parents get along better for the sake of their children. Major studies have shown that children from separated parents can grow up fine. But if parents continue to fight after separation their is a very real risk that their children will grow up damaged (low self-esteem, trouble with the law, teen pregnancy, low academic achievement etc). This course is to avoid these poor outcomes of their children.
